For adviser use only.

Where we refer to ‘we’ or ‘us’, we are referring to Timeline Platform as provided by Timeline Portfolios Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (number 840807).

Where we refer to ‘you’, we are referring to the adviser.

What assets are available on Timeline Platform?

The full range of Timeline model portfolios can be invested into in the model account. In the 'Flex' account, it is also possible to purchase a range of assets not part of a model portfolio, including OEICs, Unit Trusts, equities and ETFs. We do not currently offer direct access to gilts, but we will do soon.

Can I obtain a list of available assets?

Yes, this is available on request.

What assets don't you offer?

We do not offer any instruments deemed to be 'complex instruments' by the FCA, such as short or leveraged ETFs, VCTs, structured products, futures, derivatives, warrants, options or fixed term deposits.

We do not currently facilitate investments into foreign currency.

What is your cut off time for dealing instructions?

This differs depending on the investment. Unlike other paltforms, we do not have a set cut off and aggregation point for funds. Instead, fund orders are aggregated and instructed an hour before the relevant fund cut off for the day. Orders received after this point will be queued for instruction the following day.

For Exchange Traded Instruments (ETIs) such as equities or ETFs, sell orders are aggregated and routed to market at 3:00pm, and purchase orders are aggregated and routed to market at 3:15pm.

Do you offer fractional ETI dealing?

Yes, most ETIs will be traded fractionally by default, meaning it is possible to invest less than the value of one whole share into an ETI. Orders are traded to four decimal places.

Fractional dealing is made available on an asset by asset basis - in a small number of cases ETIs will be traded to whole units, where the share price is particularly high for example.

How long does a rebalance take?

This varies depending on the settlement times of the funds being sold and bought, but we do not wait for cash to be received from the sales before instructing purchases - once all sales in a rebalance have been executed, the purchase orders are sent to market.

How long does a withdrawal take to reach a client's bank account?

When disinvesting to fund a withdrawal, the total time from instruction to cash being received is an aggregate of asset settlement time and BACS payment time. BACS payments will take 3 working days but asset settlement will depend on the investment being sold. For a fund or equity that settles on a T+2 basis, a disinvest withdrawal will take around 5 working days in total.
