Description

Timeline's export functionality allows advisers to extract client data efficiently for reporting, analysis, or integration with other systems. This article explains how to use the filtering and export options available in the Clients tab.

Accessing the Export Function

Navigate to the Clients tab and locate the Export button at the top right of the screen. Use the available filters to refine your data before exporting.

Step #1: Filter Your Client List

Tool Filter: Select which Timeline tools to include:

(Tip: You can skip filtering entirely if you wish to export all available client data)

Account Status Filter: Choose "All accounts statuses" or select specific statuses.

Step #2: Choose Your Export Type

Click Export to open the modal window with three options:

Investment accounts using Timeline Portfolios (All accounts): Exports all clients with Timeline Portfolios accounts.

Investment accounts using Timeline Portfolios (Accounts with assets outside the model and/or excess cash): Exports only accounts with portfolio deviations or excess cash requiring attention.

Details for Intelliflo clients: Exports client details in a format compatible with Intelliflo’s Update Client Details import template. This export includes a row for every client imported from Intelliflo, using the latest FactFind data. The file’s columns are pre-formatted for direct import into Intelliflo.

Export includes:

  • Name

  • Gender

  • Date of Birth

  • National Insurance Number

  • Nationality

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Address

Step #3: Select Your Format

Choose between:

  • CSV: Maximum compatibility for system imports

  • Excel (.xlsx): Default format, ready for immediate use in Excel

Click Download to save your file.
