Timeline’s Analytics tab allows comparison across Timeline model portfolios, custom-built portfolios, indices, and external MPS providers.
Two comparison modes are available: Client Friendly and Technical.
Both offer performance and cost breakdowns, but the Technical tab provides deeper analytical detail.
Comparison reports can be exported as branded, white-labelled PDFs.
Description
Timeline empowers advisers to evaluate and benchmark portfolios using real performance and cost data. Whether you're comparing Timeline model portfolios, your own custom ones, or external models, the Analytics tab provides the tools you need.
To get started, head over to the Analytics tab. From there, you’ll be presented with two main comparison modes:
Client-Friendly: You have three comparison options, and there is a drop-down that allows you to select either the Timeline models, Custom built portfolios, Indices, or external MPS providers:
Technical: You only have two comparison options, and although the drop-down options do not appear, you’re able to search for the same information by typing into the search bar:

Portfolio Summary: You’re able to view various charges however, the MPS providers sometimes do not provide their transactional costs, which is the reason they may not appear. You will have the option to edit and add any charges for this kind of funds here:
Portfolio Performance: You can flick between Cumulative, Annualised or Calendar.
Portfolio Allocation: A useful way to see if you’re matching up like for like Equity portfolios.
